Facilities
The 30,000 square foot facility at Cherry Beach Sound and the School of Music includes not only teaching and practice rooms, but also fully equipped band rehearsal rooms and a world class recording facility. The studio includes two control rooms, a large recording floor, multiple isolation spaces and a Yamaha C7 grand piano.
Our rehearsal spaces have been used in the past by musicians, production companies, and others over the years. They can be leased for a yearly basis, or just a few days. Some uses of this space have been for auditions, bands passing through on tour, and even just for jam sessions for local bands.
Cherry Beach Sound is the home of two state-of-the-art control rooms for sound engineering. Both designed by world renowned acoustic engineer, Martin Pilchner. Control Room A is considered a Canadian one-of-a-kind as it is the only studio in Canada to have soffit-mounted Genelec surround main monitors. The control rooms at Cherry Beach are spacious, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and top of the line.
